The Mastership Award is the highest honor available in the AGD. It is also one of the most respected designations in the profession. This accomplishment meets the highest criteria for professional excellence. To accomplish this, Dr. Barron completed 1,100 hours of continuing dental education in the 16 disciplines of dentistry, including 400 hours dedicated to hands-on skills and techniques. As a recipient of this award, Dr. Barron has joined over 3,500 members of the dental community nationwide who understand that great smiles and good oral health for their patients are the result of going above and beyond basic requirements.
A message from the AGD President:
“Becoming an AGD Master means a dentist has taken part in some of the most rigorous continuing dental education programs today. ” said Bruce Cassis, DDS, MAGD. “Only two percent of all dentists have gone on to earn Mastership from the AGD. We are proud to honor Dr. Barron for her commitment and dedication to provide her patients with advanced and exceptional oral health care. She is exceeding industry requirements and paving a path of success distinguishing herself professionally amongst her peers and exemplifying her allegiance to the dental community.”
How FAGD or MAGD Benefits Patients
Dr. Barron recently received the prestigious Mastership Award. Fellows and Masters of the AGD follow a lifelong pursuit of continuing education to provide the highest quality of dental care to patients. The award symbolizes the professional responsibility of general dentists to remain current in their profession and reminds each member of the dental profession to continue to learn new techniques for their dental practice. These are awards, however and should not be confused with post-graduate degrees or certification. Every dentist who applies for the Fellowship or Mastership Award has their application reviewed by the AGD Council on Dental Education to assure that the high standards of the AGD are met.
Congratulations Dr. Barron! We are so lucky to have you!
